At the heart of this partnership lies a shared commitment to innovation, quality, and teamwork. Both Armetal and UAP are family-owned businesses with a legacy of excellence and a dedication to supporting the creative visions of artists and designers, both locally and internationally. This partnership will unlock new creative possibilities and redefine the boundaries of public art and architectural design by combining Armetal's expertise in metalwork with UAP's strengths in curatorial services, design, and art fabrication.

Additionally, this partnership aims to expand reach and capacity. About UAP

About UAP

In 1993, 'Urban Artists' was established in Brisbane, Australia, and has since evolved into UAP (Urban Art Projects), a prominent consultancy and manufacturing organization with workshops in Brisbane, Shanghai, and New York. The studios and workshops were created to support collaborative art projects with artists, architects, designers, and other creatives, offering space to develop ideas, experiment with materials, and improve skills.

UAP have had the privilege of working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 2008 where we began our work at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology curating, designing, fabricating and installing a program for public Artworks, including Al Fanar. UAP’s experience in the Middle East has continued and includes developing public art masterplans strategies and building works for leading projects and government authorities like the Ministry of Culture’s National Public Art Policy and Guidelines, NEOM’s Public Art Guidelines and Framework, Riyadh Landmark Art Masterplan, Qiddiya Precincts and Landscapes and many more.

#What we do

Consultancy

To curate is to care. Where traditionally a curator may take care of a collection of artworks or objects, at UAP we help in taking care of places, cities and communities. We think of people first, considering the impacts that creative art and design can deliver to our civic environments. From master planning and strategy development to artist shortlisting and engagement, our curatorial team shapes project visions, narratives, and directions, ensuring the right creatives and approaches are brought to each project.

Manufacturing

We are all makers at heart, and it is through the process of making that we are able to give life to abstract ideas, designs and concepts. Whether by machine or maker’s hand, our team works across a diverse range of workshop capabilities and departments to bring each distinctive design to life. Our broad range of expertise and enduring experience ensures we produce the perfect outcome every time, while maintaining the artistic intent and vision of each project.

Preservation

With facilities located in the US, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, our preservation team offers expert conservation services with local support. Backed by decades of experience, our team provides consultations and services for transport, installation, rigging, treatment, maintenance, and storage. We also specialize in collections management, including conservation planning, condition reporting, and assessments, ensuring the highest quality care for monumental and fabricated artworks.
